East Jefferson Business Association selects Rhino Web Studios

Metairie, LA – The Board of Directors of the East Jefferson Business Association, founded in 1960, has selected Rhino Web Studios to create, develop and maintain www.ejba.org.
 
According to Todd Acomb, President-Elect, “we conducted an extensive search and interview process, and selected Rhino Web Studios to take the EJBA web site to the next level. They have an impressive portfolio of clients and they’re local to the East Jefferson community.”

Part of the criteria included a user-friendly interface that allows for someone of average computer skills to edit and update the site at will. It will include a  calendar of events, member directory, local & national news feeds and much more. Additionally, plans are in the works to include other organizations events on the EJBA calendar. Acomb says “the goal is to make the EJBA web site Calendar, the definitive web site of choice for anyone in business, in our community of interest. When you need to know what’s going on, go to ejba.org”

East Jefferson Business Association is a non-profit corporation that has been active in the Parish since 1960. It is composed of professional and business men and women who have joined together to promote the business development and civic progress of East Jefferson parish. The membership is kept informed of business and community affairs by outstanding speakers and programs at monthly meetings. EJBA is a responsive organization sensitive to the needs of economic growth, education, taxation, recreation, transportation and regional planning. It has demonstrated the courage and unhindered vision to build a better and stronger Jefferson Parish.

The next EJBA meeting is Tuesday, July 8th, at Andrea’s Restaurant, 11:30 to 1:00.

East Jefferson Business Association opens doors to area-wide business associations;   Creates first of its kind, open-door policy 

    Metairie, LA – The Board of Directors for the East Jefferson Business Association, founded in 1960, has unanimously approved an invitation to the officers of any local area business association to attend the EJBA monthly meetings without a membership requirement.

    East Jefferson Business Association is a non-profit corporation that has been active in the Parish since 1960. It is composed of professional and business men and women who have joined together to promote the business development and civic progress of East Jefferson parish. The membership is kept informed of business and community affairs by outstanding speakers and programs at monthly meetings. EJBA is a responsive organization sensitive to the needs of economic growth, education, taxation, recreation, transportation and regional planning. It has demonstrated the courage and unhindered vision to build a better and stronger Jefferson Parish.

    In an unprecedented offer, the Board of Directors have approved an open invitation to the officers representing all other local business associations to attend their monthly membership meetings, without paying for membership. “This is a first of it’s kind offer, to join together in betterment of our business communities, by removing the traditional roadblocks and inviting the leadership teams together for information sharing and creation of a more homogenous business community with common interests” according to Todd Acomb, First Vice President of EJBA. “Additionally, our cultural and demographic composition is changing so quickly, that we want to encourage the business leadership to engage and learn from it, and to take advantage of all the opportunities it’s creating.”

    “We’re one of the world’s biggest, small towns” said Bob Annoni, EJBA President. When asked about this offer, Annoni stated that “when you put a group of leaders in the same room, more good comes out, than what went in, and that’s what we’re trying to accomplish for our business community.”
