Violet has been in the hospitality industry since 1990, starting her career at Hotard Coaches and Tours By Andrea.  She moved to hotel sales in 1994 at The Pontchartrain Hotel in the Garden District.  In 1996 she began selling Jefferson Parish in hotels such as the Radisson Inn New Orleans Airport, DoubleTree Hotel Lakeside and the Hampton Inn & Suites Elmwood.  In November of 2002, she became the executive director of the Jefferson Convention and Visitors Bureau.   

In her tenure, the JCVB has been successful in attaining a permanent funding source, nearly doubled the distribution of the JCVB Visitor Guide, established a sales department for the bureau, and launched a branding campaign for Jefferson Parish and more. 

Violet currently serves as a board member of the Jefferson Chamber of Commerce and the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation.
