Albert S. Pappalardo, Jr., MBA, CIC, serves on the National Board of Professional Insurance Agents. He just returned from a meeting in D.C. with Steve Scalise and other members of Congress regarding flood insurance. This topic, other areas concerning rising insurance costs, and our limited coverage options here in Louisiana will be discussed during his presentation.
Albert completed his bachelor’s degree at Loyola University and obtained a Master of Business Administration from Louisiana State University. He has an extensive professional background and notable accomplishments.
In 2015, Albert served as the President of the Northshore Chapter of Professional Insurance Agents. Since 2011, he has been a member of the Louisiana Board of Directors and held the position of President in 2019. Currently, he chairs PIA Helps, a 501c3 Disaster Relief Task Force. Additionally, he was honored as the 2021 Professional Insurance Agents of Louisiana Agent of the Year. Since 2020, Albert has served as the Professional Insurance Agents National Director.
Having acquired his license in 1989, Albert has been associated with Pappalardo Agency, Inc. located in New Orleans and Mandeville. He progressed to the position of Vice President in 1998. Furthermore, in 1995, he achieved the Certified Insurance Councilor Designation. Notably, Albert received the National Steve Dach InVEST Award in 2003, recognizing his contributions to Insurance Vocational Education Student Training.
Throughout his career, Albert has actively participated in several company advisory committees, including those of Progressive Technology Advisory Board, Allstate/Encompass, Travelers, Kemper, and Louisiana Citizens, among others.
Albert’s involvement in the insurance industry extends to his leadership roles. He served as President of the Independent Agents of Greater New Orleans in 2006 and as President of the Independent Agents of St. Tammany in 2004. From 2004 to 2011, he held the position of State Board Member of the Independent Insurance Agents.
On a personal note, Albert has two sons named Sal and Sid. He currently resides in Mandeville with his wife, Susan.
